The 12th Annual Vestal Youth Police Academy is scheduled for July 8 - 26, 2024, this summer at Vestal High School.
There are two sessions:
Middle School students currently in grades 6 - 8 can attend July 8 - 12, and the session for High School students currently in grades 9 - 12 is July 15 - 26. Hours will be 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
This is a leadership opportunity for students to learn about many different areas of police work that is in its 12th year. There will be K-9 demonstrations, CSI scenarios, CPR training, traffic stop scenarios and much more.
This program is free to all participants and open to students in all middle/high schools in our region. Vestal students can find applications in the VHS Main Office and Counseling & Guidance Office or in Counseling & Guidance's Google Classroom, as well as in the VMS Main and Counseling & Guidance main offices.
