Vestal High School seniors Banshika Mangal and Samson Wong have qualified as finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program based on their outstanding academic achievement and commendable scores on their Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Tests (PSATs). The two members of the Class of 2023 received Certificates of Merit and will be among those finalists considered for approximately 7,500 Merit Scholarships.
“Being named a National Merit Finalist is an amazing accomplishment,” said Christi Smith, Vestal High School’s Counseling and Guidance department chair. “Banshika and Samson are successful students who deserve to be recognized for their dedication and commitment to their studies. Vestal continues to have students who take advantage of our rigorous course work and excel in the classroom. We are extremely proud of their achievements and are thrilled when they receive such honors!”
