Due to a fire at a major packaging plant, Vestal Food Service is preparing for an anticipated shortage in milk cartons that will be impacting not only schools in our area, but across the U.S. The shortage is expected to persist into early 2024.
In order to accommodate breakfast and lunch service, insulated beverage dispensers and extra cups have been purchased and will be available in our cafeterias. Students will be able to obtain white milk from these containers; staff will be available to offer assistance to students as needed. At this time, chocolate milk will not be available.
