Special Delivery!.. Updated April 28, 2020

Our Transportation Staff continue their mission to support our students' education. Families who do not have computers, laptops or tablets at home, or have more than one child engaged in home learning, were loaned Chromebooks from the Vestal Central School District. On April 3, 2020, school bus drivers John DiIorio, Barb Finch, Tammy Harman, Becky Kutcher, Bonnie Metcalfe, Amy Rockwell, Ron Roehr and Walt Schlundt delivered 94 Chromebooks to families who were in need of a device to aid their child's home learning efforts!

An additional 115 Chromebook laptops were delivered on April 7 by bus drivers Ron Brogdale, Bob Grannis, Jennifer Kakusian, Dan Lewis, Tony Malarkey, Pam Pedro, Larry Potenzino and David Whitman.

Behind the scenes, our Vestal IT staff, including Brent Berner, Tim Preston, Travis Robinson and IT Project Coordinator Tim Myers have set up the laptops and prepared them for distribution. To date, over 1,000 Chromebooks have been distributed to Vestal CSD students who need them

All of this is a team effort, and we want to recognize our School Resource Officers T.J. Serkiz, Conor Talbut and Michelle Tuetken who have gone above and beyond to serve the families of our District! They have also delivered Chromebooks to families, as well as dropped off meals to students who are unable to visit the Grab-&-Go distribution sites.

Finally, our Food Services staff have dedicated themselves to making the meals being distributed to students who need them. We are extremely grateful for them and all they have done to help our families during this unprecedented closure! Please see the "Rock 'On Heroes!" news article for more information on their efforts.
