The students in our Universal Pre-Kindergarten program at the Cub Care campus participated in a Holiday Toy Drive during December. This year, the teachers, students, and their families collected around 50 toys, which were distributed to families in our community through Toys for Tots.
New, unwrapped toys for children ages 1 – 10 years old were collected, and families of students attending the Vestal UPK program at Cub Care brought their donations at class drop-off and pick-up times.
As part of their unit on the five senses, the pre-kindergartners also made holiday ornaments to decorate the trees scattered throughout the hallways. When students left for winter break, the specially crafted ornaments went home with them for their families to enjoy.
