Lucas Catarella signed his National Letter of Intent with the Division I St. Bonaventure University Bonnies on January 31, 2023.
Lucas is the son of Christine and Greg Catarella of Vestal. A four-year Varsity member of the Cross Country team, he is a two-time individual Section IV medalist and an individual STAC medalist in the 5K and has earned All-Metro Recognition. Lucas also helped his team chase down three Section IV team championships and a 2022 NYS Class B Team runner-up championship.
A member of the Golden Bear’s Varsity Baseball team for two years, he is recognized as a Vestal High School Honor Roll student and a four-year Scholar Athlete. Lucas is a member of Vestal HS’ Green and Gold Chapter of the National Honor Society, a member of Varsity Club, and he has served on the committee for the Running of the Bears 5K Walk and Run.
As a Bonnie in the Fall, Lucas will be majoring in Physical Therapy.
