Football teammates both headed to Seton Hill University

Vestal High School football teammates Zachary Kintner and Logan Wiland were celebrated by family, friends and teammates at their joint letter of intent signing ceremony on February 1. Both will leave their Golden Bear’s den to enter the Griffin’s lair as they accepted football scholarships to Division II Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania.

Zachary is the son of Terry and Andria Kintner of Vestal. A four-year member of the varsity football squad, he has earned All-Division, All-State and Section 4 All-Star honors through his career. In 2016, he was chosen as one of the “Press & Sun-Bulletin’s” Elite 24 Football Players of the year. A member of the Vestal High School Varsity Club, Zach also was on the varsity wrestling team for three years.

Also a 2016 Elite 24 selection, Logan Wiland, the son of Tim and Julie Wiland of Vestal, has stacked up many honors during his four-year varsity career. These include All-State and Section 4 All-Star, as well as catching offensive MVP honors. A versatile athlete, Logan has played on the varsity lacrosse and wrestling teams for four years. Out of the locker room, he is a member of the school’s Varsity Club.

In the fall, Zachary will major in Education at Seton Hill University, while Logan plans to study Business.
