Surrounded by family and friends, Cassidy Barrett, daughter of Mark and Stacey Barrett of Apalachin, signed her letter of intent on November 16, accepting a Division II scholarship to play softball with the Le Moyne College Dolphins.
Cassidy, a
STAC All Metro and All Conference first team catcher, has played softball for
Vestal for the last five years and has been a Vestal High School Scholar
Athlete since eighth grade. She was also selected as a New York All-State
third-team catcher, and has played travel softball since sixth grade.
Off the
diamond, Cassidy has been a member of the Vestal Varsity Club as well as the
National Honor Society for the past two years and was a member of the Vestal
Mentoring Program as a junior. She also serves as a National Honor Society
tutor.
In the community, Cassidy has volunteered with the Special Olympics. While at Le Moyne College, she intends to major in Business.
